Alex Coutinho and Jorge Amarelloh is coming to Atlanta! Here is your opportunity to train with two of the best passista directors in Brazil. This two hour workshop will be a deep dive into samba basic and passista technique and training. This is an open level workshop so all students are welcome!

About the event
Alex and Jorge are Co- Directors of the Passista Ala of G.R.E.S Paraiso do Tuiuti and G.R.E.S Academicos do Cubango. Both instructors are internationally renowed samba professionals and are the most saught after instructors to train with.Â
Alex Coutinho is known worlwide with his highly successful international dance training and program Poderosas of Samba. During the pandemic, Alex started a worlwide initiative to train aspiring and skilled samba dancers from their homes. Alex built a community and an online samba presence that went viral! Alex continues his quests to share his culture and expertise with his first ever USA TOUR!Â
Jorge Amarelloh began his career with classicial and contemporary ballet. Jorge has a well diverse dance background with focuses on African origins (incorporating Orixa elements), samba roots and Malandro style. This year Jorge earned the prestigious title of King of the Drums of Em Cima Da Hora.Â
