Thank You for Your Interest: Unidos Atlanta Queen Competition
Thank you so much for your interest in becoming a part of the Unidos Atlanta Court! We are thrilled to see your passion for Samba and your dedication to our school. Representing Unidos Atlanta as a Musa, Princess, or Queen of the Drums is a prestigious honor, and we can’t wait to see you shine.
To help you prepare for the big day, please review the competition flow and requirements below:
Schedule & Arrival
Arrival Time: No later than 3:10 PM.
Prompt Start: The competition will begin exactly at 3:30 PM.
Note: All contestants must arrive fully dressed and ready to perform. There will be limited time for last-minute touch-ups, so please ensure your look is complete upon arrival.
Competition Flow
Introduction: You will be formally introduced to the audience alongside the powerful rhythm of the Bateria.
Q&A Session: You will be asked 1–2 questions by our judging panel to share your passion, personality, and vision for your role in the school.
The Performance: To test your skill and stamina, you will be asked to dance to high-speed drums. Show us your best Samba no pé and your ability to command the floor!
Attire & Presentation
We want you to look and feel like royalty. Please adhere to the following dress code:
Outfit: Roupas de Pinta or elegant dress attire that allows for full movement.
Colors: School colors (Green, Gold, & Red) are highly encouraged to show your school spirit, but they are not mandatory.
Footwear: Professional Samba heels are required.
Glamour: Full stage makeup is required to ensure you stand out under the lights.
Hair: Your hair should be styled professionally (e.g., voluminous curls, sleek ponytail, or adorned) to complement your overall look.
